Num@tec Automotive scientific and technological areas

The industrial partners of the Num@tec Automotive consortium have defined six major scientific and technological areas, and an industrialization platform. Each working group is responsible for the analysis and identification of suitable actions to conduct R&D projects.

Working Group 1: Electronic architecture and dependability

Open-endedness, robustness and reliability of electronic architectures. Integrated architecture, improvement of software diagnosability and reliability.

Working Group 2: Dependability of monitoring systems

System-oriented approach and combined hardware-software analysis.

Working Group 3: Software tools and methods

Integration of specifications from different sources, co-simulation, multi-formalism. Validated modeling of electronic automotive systems, from the requirements to the design phase.

Working Group 4: Diagnosis

Wiring loom diagnosis systems, troubleshooting decision support systems, functional diagnosis, controlled dynamic systems diagnosis.

Working Group 5: Human-machine interfaces in 15 years

Study and ergonomic analysis of HMIs  using virtual reality simulation tools.

Working Group 6: Algorithms and data fusion

Development of robust and reliable software application tools to develop advanced driver assistance systems.
